Astoria Park Pickup - Mixed Pickup
Join us for an exciting mixed pickup game at Astoria Park, running through three vibrant seasons: spring, summer, and fall. Whether you register for the entire season or choose to float week by week, this event promises a great time on the field.
While this pickup is not specifically a beginner clinic, you can expect players on the sidelines who are more than willing to assist with basic techniques. The game typically features basic person defense with a sideline force, and on offense, having the ability to set a stack and throw both forehands and backhands will enhance your experience.
We aim to play full field 6v6 last-back style pickup, adapting to the number of participants to ensure everyone gets a chance to enjoy the game. Additionally, this location often has Goaltimate set up, adding another layer of fun!
Location Details
The games take place on the newly renovated turf field located in the middle of the track at the south end of Astoria Park. It's conveniently accessible, just a 10-minute walk from the N train at Astoria Blvd. For those driving, there is a free parking lot available, as well as curbside Citibike docks for easy access.
