Encinal Ultimate - Mixed Pickup
Join the long-standing tradition of the Encinal Ultimate mixed pickup games at Cubberley Community Center Field in Los Altos, USA. Since 1993, this semi-competitive event has been a staple for local Ultimate enthusiasts, taking place every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, weather permitting.
With a flexible start time between 12:30-1:30 PM, the games kick off when at least eight players are present. The community's dedication ensures that most days see full 7 on 7 matches, with additional fields set up when the turnout is high.
Players can stay informed about the occasional field changes and game times by signing up for the mailing list, which also serves as a platform for Ultimate-related discussions. While a weekly headcount isn't necessary, communication is maintained as needed.
During the seasonal closure of the Cubberley grass fields in December and January for maintenance, the games move to nearby Mitchell Park or, in case of wet conditions, to Cubberley's artificial turf field.
Participants are expected to uphold the spirit of the game, balancing competitive play with respect, rule adherence, and the inherent joy of playing Ultimate.
