Welcome to the Second Annual Sand Sleigh-Out!
Join us for a festive celebration at the Sand Sleigh-Out, a holiday-themed indoor beach ultimate hat tournament! This exciting event will take place on Saturday, December 14th, 2026, from 4 PM to 9 PM at the Beach House in Natick, MA.
Event Details
- Format: 3v3 beach ultimate with 2/1 gender matching when possible.
- Games Guaranteed: Each participant will play a minimum of 5 games.
- Cost: $50 per person, which includes all-you-can-eat pizza and snacks.
- Donations: We encourage donations to the Science Club for Girls or Womxn in Boston Ultimate, which can be added during registration.
Venue Information
The Beach House features a heated sand arena primarily used for beach volleyball, allowing for a unique playing experience. The facility includes:
- Four fields (two sets of two volleyball courts).
- No footwear required!
- Showers and bathrooms on site.
- An upstairs mezzanine overlooking the fields, where tournament food and drinks will be available.
Transportation
If you need assistance getting to Natick, we will help organize carpools. Closer to the event, we will send out emails with more information on how to request a ride.
Rules and Regulations
We will adhere to general 5v5 WFDF rules with some modifications:
- Field size: approximately 30m x 16m, including a 3m end zone.
- Out-of-bounds surfaces include walls and volleyball nets; contact results in a turnover.
- Stall count is set at 6 seconds.
- Inverted pulls are required.
- We will strive for 2/1 gender matchups when possible.
Please note that alcohol consumption and smoking are prohibited in the facility, and no food or glass is allowed on the sand-covered areas.
Registration Information
Registration will close on Friday, December 12th at 8 PM. Signups can be made in pairs (one baggage), but both participants must request each other. Male-matching players are encouraged to sign up with female-matching players to increase their chances of securing a spot.
