Sunday Frisbee at Stanford
Join the ultimate frisbee community for a very laid back game at the Stanford IM South Fields. This pickup event is known for its welcoming atmosphere, catering to a wide range of experience levels from very good players to beginners. It's recognized as one of the most beginner-friendly games in the Peninsula.
Games are played on grass fields and participants are encouraged, though not required, to bring both light and dark shirts to help keep teams balanced. Scoring is typically reserved for the last 15 minutes of play, adding a competitive edge as the game winds down.
During the summer months (March to October), the game starts at 4:00 pm and lasts until sunset, aligning with daylight savings. In the winter (November to March), the action begins at 2:30 pm, also concluding with the sunset.
The event is a staple, occurring every week. For the most current updates on start times and to confirm the game, players can sign up for the dedicated Google Group. In light of health and safety, unvaccinated individuals are asked to wear a mask.
